The Rose-Petal Path Home
The Rose-Petal Path Home by Ruben White
On a bed of softest roses, gently I recline, Each petal a memory, a moment truly mine. Though shadows may lengthen, and twilight draw near, Know that love's light remains, banishing all fear.
Like the quiet unfurling of a bloom in the sun, My spirit prepares for a journey, its work almost done. And though a space may open, where my laughter once played, It's filled with the echoes of love we have made.
The sky may be painted in hues of soft gray, Or brilliant with azure at the close of the day. In each gentle whisper of wind, in the sun's warm embrace, You'll find little pieces of me, in time, and in space.
Soon, a new dawn will break, a more tranquil, sweet morn, Where burdens are lifted, and new life is born. With wings light as gossamer, I'll peacefully soar, Leaving only footprints of love on life's shore.
